Join the Foundation

Volunteering to join the Surry County Health Foundation comes with only a few asks:

• Come to our quarterly board meetings. We discuss the needs we see and how we can invest in ways to improve access to health services for those in Surry County. We meet side-by-side with the Surry County Health & Nutrition Center to directly discuss how we can empower them to save and improve lives. We have 4 meetings every year: February, April/May, August, and November (and lunch is provided!)

• Help out with fundraisers. We normally have one fundraiser a year, and there is lots of work to be done for it! Help us collect donations and prizes, prepare and serve food, and facilitate our Annual Bingo. It's a fun, high-energy time for both participants and volunteers!

• Advocate for Health. When you're out in public or talking with friends and family, think about spreading the word on healthy behavior and how people can support those in need.
