Health Without Barriers
At some point or another, we all find ourselves short of good health. Increasing healthcare costs, complicated insurance situations, and financial hardship have all kept people from becoming the healthiest version of themselves. At the Surry County Health Foundation, we support the county's Public Health system serve the people who otherwise wouldn't be able to access health services.
For nearly 40 years, our efforts have bridged the gap that existed between our neighbors and the services they so desperately needed. We focus on funding preventative services and routine care, lowering the risk of major health problems occurring and prolonging fufilling lives.
How We Make It Happen
Annual Bingo
The Annual Bingo Fundraiser replaced the annual pickleball tournament in 2023. Raising thousands of dollars every year, volunteers come together to host a bingo night to win extraordinary prizes, eat good food, and have a great time!
Donations
Charitable donations made to the Health Foundation can go to the general fund or given for specific causes! All donations are tax deductible, as our foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) organization.
Trades
Some of our members are retired accountants and finance-savvy people. Making investments into the stock market is an easy was to generate funds passively for a good cause. Returns from these trades often provide enough to fund critical equipment, programs, and services for the Health & Nutrtion Center!
